& TMJ Release for
High-Performance Lives
Kiva uses CranioSacral Therapy and her unique blend of advanced bodywork to support high-functioning nervous systems who can't afford to burn out.
She serves clients from San Francisco, Berkeley, and the greater Bay Area at her conveniently located East Bay office in Berkeley, California.
CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY
CranioSacral Therapy is a soothing method of bodywork that works with the body's central nervous system and whole-body fascial network to release stress, recover from physical strain and injury, and restore health holistically. Kiva tailors each session to your unique needs, and blends CranioSacral Therapy with elements of Ortho-Bionomy, Visceral Manipulation, and Shiatsu. You'll receive your session clothed, preferably wearing something comfortable. Clients are encouraged to explore their process in a series of 3-10 sessions, as sequential sessions support the greatest outcome.
SOMATOEMOTIONAL RELEASE
SomatoEmotional Release can be a meaningful part of your CranioSacral session, especially if you find yourself in need of stress relief, emotional processing, gentle body-based trauma resolution, or recovery from loss, surgery, or injury. In this work, Kiva uses CranioSacral contacts while facilitating dialogue between you and your body's holding patterns. SomatoEmotional Release sessions are generally well suited for time frames of 90 minutes or longer.
TMJ RELEASE / INTRAORAL MOUTH WORK
TMJ Release or Jaw Release is transformative for those who have tight, painful, or clenching jaw muscles and facial tissue, tension headaches, teeth grinding, and more. This specialized and gentle style of CranioSacral bodywork is done with care and consent, using gloved fingers inside the mouth to contact tissues, muscles, and teeth, to facilitate release of pain and tension.
